Hailed as “The World’s Sexiest Comedian,” Nicole Arbour is a rare anomaly in the world of entertainment, making waves in every facet of the industry, all at once.
The Comedian, Actor, Writer, Producer, Creative Director, Choreographer, and Model, (who can now add Recording Artist to her resume, with debut single “Every Guy” set for launch 2010), Nicole’s span of creativity is matched only by her tell tale traits of dry wit and bubbly cheerleader demeanor.
A true chameleon, Arbour’s diverse career has seen her do everything from Headlining at the illustrious Los Angeles Comedy Festival; to sharing the Molson Canadian Rocks Concert Tour lineup with bands such as Thornley, Finger Eleven, and Bedouin Soundclash; to being a member of the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak; and most recently Nicole was brought on as Creative Director for Canadian wearable couture design house SHKANK INC by designer Rod Philpott.
Nicole is proud to be the recipient of many top industry awards including: Labatt’s Comic of the Year, Choreographer of the Year for both the Canadian and North American Dance Championships, Nominated as WIRED Magazine’s “Sexiest Geek of 2009”, Excellence In Choreography Award from the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, and a Canadian Event Industry Award for her work on “Le Club Moulin Rouge.”
Nicole has also written and starred in successful and award winning “out of the box” advertising campaigns for clients such as Molson Canada, Nike, Virgin Mobile, and AXE including the Molson Canadian “Guy Code” campaign, which reins as the most successful viral campaign in Canadian history, and the second most successful worldwide with over 9.5 million views. Her keen eye for creative marketing was once again proven as “The World’s Sexiest Comedian Calendar” outsold the “Sports Illustrated Calendar” in Canada and to date has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide.
In Canada, Nicole’s silly and topical brand of comedy is most recognizable from her role as a regular cast member on Much Music’s “Video On Trial,” with episodes still in syndication.
In her most recent film, the feature comedy You Might As Well Live, Nicole shed her Barbie doll image to play Regina Manitoba, the invalid daughter of Michael Madsen’s character. The film was award winning at the Slamdance Film Festival, was official selection of the Fantasia Film Festival, and had a feature in Variety Magazine.
Next up for Nicole… the worldwide release her “too racy for tv” music video for “Every Guy,” in where for the first time, Nicole got to combine music, comedy, fashion, and dance blurring the lines of parody and reality, and without a doubt creating a brand new hybrid genre.
